FORMER FISHERMAN S COTTAGE IN CENTRE OF FOWEY WITH RIVER VIEWS 7 NIGHTS COMMENCING 20 DECEMBER 2014 WAS FROM 640 NOW FROM 500 This recently refurbished cottage is situated in an enviable position overlooking the pretty river Fowey River and the former home of author Daphne Du Maurier. Fowey is a picture-postcard seaside town on the South Cornwall coast with a proud maritime heritage and considered by many to be one of Cornwall s most idyllic year round holiday spots Rows of pastel-coloured houses cling to the steep hillside that looks out over the bay. The neighbouring town Polruan is situated across the estuary. Fowey plays host to a number of major events including the Royal Regatta and the Daphne Du Maurier Literary Festival both take place during the summer drawing people from far and wide. The river offers a wide range of activities the surrounding countryside some idyllic walks beaches nearby whilst the town has some of the finest restaurants and bistros along with many individual shops and delicatessens all within walking distance. Places of note include the world renowned Eden Project the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the historic port of Charlestown all a short drive away. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with river views and 1 twin both on first floor accessed via a steep cottage style staircase. Bathroom: step down bath with shower over and WC. Lounge: with TV/DVD wi-fi connection and river views. Kitchen/diner: with electric oven and hob fridge freezer dishwasher and microwave. Outside: small rear yard with utility store with washing machine and tumble dryer. Another shed which is ideal for storage of surfboards wetsuits or walking boots etc. Amenities: parking in public car parks nearby (extra). Bed linen towels electricity central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome.
