Saunton Sands with just over 3.5 miles of golden sands is renowned for its surfing and windsurfing. A haven for the keen golfer with two 18 hole courses one a championship course. At Ilfracombe you can see Damien Hirst s impressive sculpture Verity and enjoy fishing trips seaside amusements museum and art gallery. Barnstaple the regional capital of North Devon is even closer.
