Calcot Peak Barn is a wonderful barn conversion set in stunning Cotswold countryside, in the middle of a small Gloucestershire estate. Inside you will find a carefully crafted home with elegant detail including many period features such as oak beams, wood burning stove and exposed Cotswold stone. The property also offers superb facilities with modern appliances to make your stay a comfortable one. The cottage is remotely located, half a mile off the local country road along a small track and as a result enjoys unbelievable views and complete privacy. We feel that this cottage gives you a real taste of Cotswold tranquility - simply stunning!Short Breaks in Low Season by arrangement.ACCOMMODATIONEntrance in a large and spacious Living / Dining Room with gorgeous sofas, efficient wood burning stove (logs provided) plus TV / DVD player and sound system. Dining area has an oak table that will comfortably seat 8 people. Modern Kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, gas hob, gas and electric oven and microwave. Utility Room with washing machine.Bathroom with bath and shower (over bath) WC and washbasin. UpstairsTwo sets of separate oak stairs lead to each of the mezzanine bedrooms:Bedroom One with double bedBedroom Two with two single beds.Please note that the bedrooms are at opposite ends of the barn with privacy provided via heavy drape curtains from the rafters and that there is low balustrade unsuitable for young toddlers.Garden furniture is available and a BBQ is provided in the summer. .Oil fired Central Heating and electricity included all year. Cot & highchair available on request.Short Breaks in Low Season by arrangement only, please call for information.Calcot Peak Barn is two miles from Northleach, a small town of historical interest, at the meeting point of the A429 Fosseway and the A40, and three miles from the picturesque village of Bibury, reputedly acknowledged by William Morris as 'the prettiest village in England'. The Barn is 9 miles from Cirencester; 15 miles from Cheltenham; 25 miles from Oxford; 30 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. Many famous Cotswold villages are within twenty minutes by car such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, The Slaughters, The Swells, Great and Little Barrington, Moreton-in-Marsh etc. The famous gardens of Kiftsgate and Hidcote are about forty minutes away, not far from the delightful town of Chipping Campden. Westonbirt Arboretum is forty minutes to the South and Batsford Arboretum about twenty minutes North. Many interesting local gardens are open through the season.
