Ty Ucha'r Ffordd is one of seven luxury self catering holiday cottages on the Bodnant Estate near Conwy in North Wales. The other properties are Bryn Rhydd: four guests, Lletty six/eight guests, Ty Newydd: eight guests, Ty Cerrig: seven guests, Garth Iwrch: four guests and Tyddyn Derwen: five guests.
Bodnant Garden, the world famous garden owned by the National Trust, is central to the Estate and within one to two miles' walking distance from the properties. A perfect outdoor break, the Bodnant Estate is privately owned and guests are welcome to walk on the many miles of private paths that run through woods and across farmland. Bodnant Garden is open 361 days of the year.
There are many attractions and places to visit in this part of Wales. Within a 20-minute drive is the elegant Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno. Also the sandy beaches of Conwy, Penmaenmawr and Colwyn Bay are within about a 15-minute drive. Snowdonia National Park is on the doorstep, including the Swallow Falls near Betws-y-Coed and Snowdon. The summit of Snowdon can be reached via the mountain train from Llanberis. A number of castles including Conwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Harlech, Dolwydellan, Denbigh and Rhuddlan are within easy striking distance. This delightful secluded Welsh holiday rental, sleeping two, is a pretty stone cottage, standing in a secluded position above the Eglwysbach valley, with spectacular views of pastoral and wooded landscape framed by the panorama of the Carneddau mountains of Snowdonia National Park.
Although the cottage is compact, it has been sympathetically extended to provide generous openings between the main rooms. It also has the unusual feature of a small study, ideal for writers or others seeking solitude or working away from home. Outside the kitchen there is a terraced area with fine views, and other sitting areas have been created around the house and in the garden.
