Accommodation overview: The cottage, previously a clog makers workshop adjoins the owners home, Galloway House, dating back to the 1720’s which until recently was the village pub. Now a cosy 1 bedroom holiday cottage, Galloway Cottage is situated in the village of Crosby, 1 mile from the Cumbrian coast and 2 miles from the harbour town of Maryport. The beach is a fantastic place to walk your dog with views across the Solway to the Scottish Hills. Good food and drink is available at the Stag Inn, within 400 yards. Maryport has a Sea Life Centre, museums, a marina and a selection of shops. The seaside town of Allonby is approximately 4 miles and the spectacular Lake District Park is on the doorstep.

Accommodation overview: Nook Cottage is a lovely well stocked Lake District cottage with a coal fire and enclosed courtyard and garden. It is an ideal base for families to relax and have fun on Silecroft beach or explore the western lakes and fells. Silecroft lies in the quiet South Eastern corner of the Lake District National Park nestling between the sea and Black Coombe. Wordsworth described the area as "where the mountains meet the sea". The fabulous and challenging Black Coombe can be tackled by walking from the front door, the other lakes and mountains are only a short scenic drive away.

Accommodation overview: Brambleside is a beautiful 4 bedroom detached house, 400 yards from the beach and Mawbray Banks nature reserve, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking the spectacular Cumbrian Coast. The hamlet of Bootle Station is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Station Cottage has an unusual location, adjoining the owners home, Station House situated right on the station itself. There are only 7 trains a day trundling along this line which runs from Carlisle to Barrow. The beach is within easy walking distance, where you can walk for miles along this unspoilt coastline. The beautiful valley, of Eskdale and Wasdale are close by. The miniature railway at Ravenglass, affectionately known as Laal Ratty will take you all the way to Eskdale Green, the kids will love it. Also at Ravenglass is Muncaster Castle and grounds. Dating back almost a 1000 years it is the ancestral home of the Pennington family and is a must see on your holiday.

It sits on the banks of Sandy Beck, a haven for wildlife and birdlife, including deer, red squirrels and kingfishers. The Smithy was converted from the former Blacksmiths forge by the owners in 2008.
