The historic city of York and Leeds are all within easy reach for a cultured day out with many museums and galleries or they are excellent for some retail therapy. Hull with its magnificent waterfront boasts a relaxing atmosphere along with a vibrant mix of culture, shopping and nightlife and events from jazz festivals to sea shanties all within a half hours drive away. You can also visit the stately homes of Sledmere House and Castle Howard which are nearby. You can also try your hand at fishing in the pools on the farm.
