Accommodation overview: Peewit House is a magnificent Cotswold Country House set in glorious countryside, yet convenient for the market towns of Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh. This detached Cotswold stone house is located on the edge of a little village called Kitebrook itself just 5 minutes from Moreton. Recently renovated and restored, the accommodation is spacious, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Outside there is a large garden surrounding the house, which can be accessed from the living room and kitchen. We see this as an ideal and brilliant choice for families or larger groups who enjoy high quality and attention to detail. An absolute find! Accommodation overview: Kingfishers House is a brilliant holiday cottage for people who want to enjoy a central Cotswolds location as well as the stunning location of the Cotswolds' lakes. Situated within the Cotswolds' 450 acre Lower Mill Estate nature reserve and just a two minute stroll from the River Thames tributary, the property offers accommodation ideal for families with youngsters but also perfect for couples looking to relax. Internally, the cottage is welcoming and well furnished with your own grassed area outside, perfect for sitting / playing with small and shallow stream and lake beyond. The Lower Mill is particularly appealing as there are many activities on offer including an outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis court and walking as well as countless other activities nearby. In our opinion Kingfishers House is perfect for those who like space, peace and much to do to do outside the traditional holiday times. Superb! The Granary incorporates an original stone barn and offers peaceful seclusion in a very rural position at the end of a half mile private road. Guests will enjoy spacious, comfortable and generously sized accommodation with sunny south west facing views across farmland and privately owned woodland.
With a network of footpaths nearby there is plenty of walking and the lack of light pollution means wonderful star gazing at night. It is in an area with lots of native wildlife: badgers, foxes, deer, ravens, sparrow hawks, owls (including barn owls), woodpeckers, nuthatches and lots of garden birds. This is a unique corner of West Gloucestershire, famous for native wild daffodils in spring.
The large enclosed fenced and private garden with cherry trees is safe for dogs. The Granary is adjoining the owners' home.
There is a large privately owned lake nearby (100 yards from The Granary) and guests are welcome to use it (at their own risk) for freshwater swimming and fishing. Well stocked with Tench, Bream, Perch, Rudd and even Bleak, this is an area full of native wildlife such as frogs, newts, toads and dragonflies – with an occasional chance to glimpse a kingfisher.
London is approximately a three hour drive. Local train stations are Ledbury and Gloucester.

Poppy's Cottage, one of four terraced cottages, is situated in a peaceful no-through lane in Baunton village overlooking the picturesque church of St Mary Magdalene. Recently renovated to a very high standard this charming traditional cottage offers an ideal base for exploring the numerous attractions nearby.
The historic town of Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, is a five minute drive away (30 minutes on foot) and has many unique shops and restaurants. Cheltenham, a 20 minute drive, hosts many festivals and the Gold Cup. For walkers there is a wide choice of walks, including the well known Monarch's Way right on the door step.
Other points of interest within easy reach include Westonbirt Arboretum (20 miles), Tetbury (15 miles), Bibury (10 miles), Slad Valley (10 miles) and the Royal Agricultural College (five miles). There are many easily accessible country pubs. An efficient local hire company delivers and collects bicycles direct to the door seven days a week. There are numerous local riding facilities and all types of water sports at South Cerney Water Park (five miles).
Baunton is a quiet, pretty Cotswold village two miles north of Cirencester and approximately one and three quarter hours by car from Central London along the M4 and A419. There is a fast and regular train service from Paddington to Kemble Station, 10 minutes by taxi from Baunton.
Although the village has no pub or shop there is extensive shopping in Cirencester, and the area is served by a wide choice of country and town-centre pubs and restaurants, each with its own character and charm. A popular local country pub, 40 minutes on foot from the cottage along country paths, is the Bathhurst Arms, with buckets of atmosphere and serving good food.
There are extensive opportunities for walking in and around Baunton and for all types of outdoor sports in the immediate locality. South Cerney,10 minutes by car, is a centre for all types of water sports. There are numerous riding schools within easy reach. Talland House is a world-class riding centre, 10 minutes by car from the cottage. Polo is also available at the Cirencester Polo Club (five minutes) and the Long Dole Polo Club (15 minutes).

It has many historic buildings, including converted water mills along the brook. It is a peaceful, charming village with a friendly community, centered on the café and well stocked shop. From Blockley there are many walks over beautiful countryside. There are two pubs within walking distance, and interesting shops, pubs, and a variety of restaurants in the nearby villages and towns.
