Accommodation overview: STUNNING DETACHED FARMHOUSE IN DELIGHTFUL RURAL LOCATION This beautiful house has been lovingly developed and owned by the same family for a number of generations. With easy access to the M5 it is ideally situated for exploring all of the picture perfect Cotswolds while the immediate area provides some great walking and cycling opportunities. A host of attractions within a short drive include Tewkesbury Abbey and Ragley Hall Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway Birdland Model Village Sudeley Castle the Motor Heritage Museum the National Waterways Museum and numerous National Trust properties. Cheltenham Shakespeare s Stratford-on-Avon Warwick and Cirencester are also within easy reach along with a plethora of chocolate box pretty villages including Burford Stow-on-the-Wold the Slaughters and Kingham. Slightly further afield but worth a visit is Oxford with is stunning architecture and fabulous museums beautiful Blenheim Place The Cotswold Wildlife Park and the Forest of Dean. The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms all arranged on the first floor: 1 master king-size 1 double 2 twin rooms and 1 single room. Bathroom: with separate shower and WC. Shower-room: with WC. Additional WC: located on the first floor. Lounge: spacious area with woodburner and flatscreen TV/DVD. Study/reading room: accessed via the lounge and offering space to unwind with a good book. Rose & Crown House was built in the early C17th as a merchant's house and for most of the C19th and early C20th used as an inn. The building is Grade II listed and is mentioned in Pevsner's the Buildings of England. It has a very period feel and has some panelling and exposed wooden beams throughout.
Chipping Campden is arguably the most attractive of the larger Cotswolds wool villages and the High Street where Rose and Crown House is located was described the the historian Sir George Trevellyan as the most beautiful village street now left in this island. The village has a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs and is a good centre for visiting the Cotswold beauty sports, gardens and Stratford-upon-Avon

Accommodation overview: Mere Coach House is a simply stunning! A large, detached house located down a long drive on the edge of the premium (and quite famous) Cotswolds village of Fairford, it offers just about everything you could wish for when looking for an exclusive holiday home. Inside, the owners have created a very welcoming and stylish yet quirky home with large rooms throughout and four fabulous bedroom suites, each with bathrooms. From our perspective, we found the kitchen/diner the real heart of the house, warm and inviting with its huge Aga, and enjoying superb views across the private gardens and paddock beyond, both of which are perfect for children (and adults of course!) to play ball games. This is one for the family, it is also one for friends too given it's superb layout and location in this historic village. There is little not to like in this house, so we're quite certain you will have a fabulous and memorable holiday here. Accommodation overview: Bellhouse details
Bellhouse is a characterful, spacious rambling house with comfortable accommodation. It is in a glorious, quiet and very secluded setting with plenty of opportunities for long walks. The boundaries of the garden and woodland abut Woodchester Park, owned by the National Trust, and from the house it is possible to walk for miles without crossing a road,hearing a car or seeing more than a handful of people. Wildlife abounds around the five ornamental lakes which run through the Park. The Cotswold Way passes nearby.
The house itself forms the south-west wing of Woodchester Park House, a Grade II listed building. It dates back to the 1860s and retains many original features. Bellhouse's garden is attractive and private. A courtyard and a further patio area provide sun traps for outdoor sitting and eating. A large lawn surrounded by mature shrubs and trees is good for children's games. (Parents beware two ponds are separated off by a low fence). The garden is also enjoyed by foxes and badgers. The badgers are often spotted at dusk when they come for peanuts.
The Rose and Crown in Nympsfield is a 20-minute walk. Nailsworth, just three miles away, has a deli to die forand the best ever local bakery and coffee shop.
Cheltenham, Bath and Cirencester are all within 30 minutes' drive. The Gatcombe and Badminton Horse Trials are each within 20 minutes. For gardeners, Westonbirt Arboretum, Rodmarton Manor and Abbey House Gardens, Malmesbury are close. For music lovers, the annual Tetbury Music Festival is 15 minutes away. Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Berkeley Castle, Cattle Country, the Cotswold Water Park and the Bristol Gliding club are also within half an hour's drive.
