Accommodation overview: Buttercup Cottage, Somerford Keynes is a super holiday cottage located within the heart of the Cotswold Lakes. Situated in a prime location overlooking Somerford Lagoon, one of the Cotswold lakes, this cosy cottage is absolutely ideal for a family or small group of friends looking to enjoy the peace of this region of the Cotswolds and yet also interested in visiting many of the area's popular attractions. The area is one of the UK's largest Wildlife Reserves still in private hands and offers an abundance of wildlife to enjoy. Inside the cottage offers spacious and modern accommodation for four, (with the added benefit of extra bunk beds if required). The open plan living space with its cool wooden flooring has a fresh (almost Scandinavian!) feel, along with doors to a private, enclosed balcony overlooking the lake. Buttercup sits within a private and gated community, which has access to an outdoor heated pool (seasonal), tennis court, and miles of cycle and walking trails for people of all ages to enjoy, along with village pub within a mile. Moore Cottage is situated in a quiet position next to Moore House, just a two minute walk from the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water which stands on the river Windrush. Holidaymakers will have a very good choice of restaurants, pubs and shops, all within walking distance. There is also the Model Village, Motor Museum, Bird Sanctuary and Perfumery to visit. For the serious walkers there is a wide variety of choice in all directions through Upper Slaughter, Lower Slaughter, Upper Rissington and Lower Rissington.
Burford (the Gateway to the Cotswolds); Cirencester (most attractive market town since Roman times); Cheltenham (the Spa town with beautiful architecture and a racing history); Stratford-upon-Avon (the birth place of William Shakespeare); Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden (both Mediaeval market towns); and Broadway (a truly historic town with lovely shops and of course the Lygon Arms) are all within 15 miles. Please note that guest privacy will be respected at all times.

An expansive house, it is perfect for a large family, or group of friends with gardens/external space safe for children (gated community) and miles of walks directly from the front door. In our opinion this is a restful and comfortable home, which offers both a perfect escape, and a fine, sociable space. Accommodation overview: The Farriers details
The Farriers is a sunny Cotswold stone cottage situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Southrop.
The village is criss-crossed with footpaths, some of which lead to the River Leach, and others to the neighbouring villages of Eastleach and Hatherop. The church in Southrop dates back to 1086 and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book.
The famous gastropub the Swan is within a few minutes' stroll of the cottage and reservations are advised. There is a Wednesday Shop and Post Office held in the Village Hall selling supplies from Sainsburys, and the Southrop Estate also has a shop selling a selection of kitchen/dining goods and household accessories.
Southrop Manor also offers cooking classes which are held in the Tithe Barn and can be booked direct with them in advance of your stay.
High speed trains to London Paddington are available from Swindon (12 miles) or Charlbury (17 miles).
Southrop is two miles from the A361 Burford-to-Lechlade road.

The Cotswold village of Chipping Campden boasts an excellent choice of pubs, bistros, restaurants and shops for guests to enjoy.
There is also a good choice of walks from the town including the Cotswold Way to Broadway. Hidcote Gardens (National Trust) and Stratford-upon-Avon are both easily accessible.
Although children are welcome at this property please note there is no garden and only a very small courtyard seating two guests.

Accommodation overview: Woodwells Cottage, rated 4 stars by the English Toursit Board, is as perfect example of peace, tranquility and picturesque surroundings as any cottage either in Owlpen or anywhere else in The Cotswolds. This detached house, is set on the edge of a small woods, surrounded by the beautiful countryside off a small country lane - this is is a real cottage hideaway! The house which is a traditional Cotswold style with good size rooms (rather than open plan) which give it a sense 'swallows-and-amazons'! We say this is as remote as you can get from the twentieth century in Southern England! Woodwells is a picturesque farmhouse built in 1877, set in the midst of a sunny clearing of wooded hills and at the end of the meadows. The house is utterly charming and an ideal family holiday home or place for friends to get together.ACCOMMODATION: A porch leads to the front hall. Elegant Dining Room, seating six comfortably.
