Fairgreen is a small hamlet near to the village of Middleton and Middleton Hall Golf Club. It lies between the market town of Swaffham, where Kingdom, starring Stephen Fry is filmed, and historic King's Lynn. Within a few miles of the property there is trout fishing, water sports, riding, bird watching and the famous wetlands wildlife trust at Welney. The North Norfolk coast with its wonderful walks, beaches and birdlife is a short ride away as is the Royal Estate at Sandringham. The cities of Cambridge and Norwich are both about 40 miles away. Accommodation overview: Very attractive character cottage in a beautiful riverside location West Somerton is a small Broadland village tucked into a quiet corner of East Norfolk, super for all bird-watching enthusiasts! It has been featured in the BBC Coast programme and quoted by Nicholas Crane "as my favourite place on the Norfolk Broads". Certainly West Somerton has one of the prettiest Staithes. Families will enjoy days out at the many attractions in the area: try Bewilderwood, great adventure for the children, or a day cruising the Broads. The sandy beaches at Winterton and Horsey are only two miles away, with the bustling seaside resort of Great Yarmouth a little further.
River's End is in an enviable position overlooking the pretty village staithe and is ideal for groups of adults, extended families or for two families sharing. Lose yourself in the wildlife; several species of rare birds are regular visitors. Otters and water voles are about. Martham Broad Nature Reserve, situated on the River Thurne is one of the Broad's largest at over 101 acres and a Site of Special Scientific Interest is only 200 yards from the cottage. Waxham, Hickling and Horsey are nearby. The position of River's End is ideal for cycling, canoeing and coarse fishing. Winter birding is very good. Accommodation overview: Janerio is a brilliant base for a family holiday, only a five minute walk from the sandy beach and there is a lovely garden to relax in at the end of the day The village of Mundesley is an excellent location for a seaside holiday. Mundesley has a wonderful clean, wide beach and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some may enjoy a dip in the sea or perhaps just the chance to relax and enjoy the view, whilst children will love to play on the golden sands. There is a golf course and driving range in the village with both horse riding and sea fishing available locally. Historic houses, steam trains, water sports and nature reserves are all within a short drive.

The Village of Chedgrave lies in the Chet Valley in the south of Norfolk in the Broad National Park and provides a good base to visit the East Norfolk and Suffolk Heritage Coasts, Southern Broadland and the Waveney Valley with the market Towns of Bungay and Beccles. The fine Cathedral city of Norwich is within easy reach just 10 miles away. The adjoining village of Loddon has a good selection of shops and Pubic Houses with day boat hire available from the nearby staithe. Alternatively you may enjoy the pleasant River Chet Walk to Hardley Cross , which is part of the longer Wherrymans Way Norwich to Great Yarmouth footpath or the National Cycle route 1 both of which run past the property. This area is excellent for wildlife with a number of RSPB and other nature reserves nearby well worth a visit. Fishing in season is available from the nearby river 100yds away. It is part of The Wensum Valley, named after the river, which flows through the picturesque countryside and provides excellent fishing opportunities. The area is great for both cycling and walking, with a network of country lanes, and Sparham Pools Nature Reserve is close by and provides excellent walks and bird watching. The fine city of Norwich is just thirteen miles away and there are many attractions in the area to suit all ages. The Orchard and The Stables (property 865) are character single-storey barn conversions, which are situated in the peaceful hamlet of Primrose Green, surrounded by farmland, one mile from Lyng.
