The property is neighboured by the historic English Heritage Site of Cleeve Abbey. Guests can enjoy the picturesque village of Dunster 4 miles away with the castle and numerous galleries and cafés to explore. The beaches at Dunster Blue Anchor and Minehead are all within a few miles with Minehead offering a choice of shops and Somerset World. Set within the Exmoor National Park famous for some of the most breathtaking scenery and a haven for walkers and wildlife. Other attractions well worth a visit include the Valley of the Rocks West Somerset Steam Railway Lynton and Lynmouth with their water powered cliff railway Clarks Village the Brendon and Quantock Hills and much more. After a day s adventure relax in the garden. Alternatively enjoy a game of skittles or a BBQ which is held regularly in the season in the pub garden across the road. It is approximately 300 years old and is furnished to provide comfortable accommodation with classic character and charm of the original building. Beamed ceilings, large inglenook fireplace with open wood-burning stove and some modern conveniences make this an inexpensive location from which to explore this beautiful area, including the Spa City of Bath. To the front is a small cottage garden and to the rear open fields and country views. There is one spacious room with four poster double bed, two folding beds on request, small kitchen area, dining area and a sitting area, all warmed beautifully by the custom-made woodburner. There is a bathroom en-suite to the main room, with a compost WC in the boot room. Outside is a private patio with furniture and off road parking for two cars. The Roundhouse is ideally placed for enjoying Bath, the Mendips, Glastonbury or Cheddar Gorge, and makes for a wonderful retreat for couples or a small family.
