Accommodation overview: An ideally located holiday property that is spacious, comfortable and close to the beach Southwold Denes - Southwold Denes stretches from Gun Hill to the harbour's mouth and acts as a vital sea defence for the town. Suffolk Coast and Heaths (to whom our customer's £1 booking donation goes) are working with several agencies to restore and maintain the important area. It is the home of skylarks and little terns (please be careful not to disturb the nests) and the habitat of sea holly, sea pea and bird's foot trefoil to name a few. Our properties here enjoy the sunrise over the sea and stunning sunsets over the marshes. Weathervane is a very spacious and comfortable house, close to the beach and within easy reach of the town centre. The property provides spacious living areas and the views from the upstairs windows are fabulous. The rear bedroom with its remarkable vista is a perfect spot to enjoy the setting sun. Accommodation overview: One of three cottages in a row that sleep up to a total of 12 Westleton. is a pretty village mid-way between Aldeburgh and Southwold with the coast at Dunwich only two and a half miles away. It is centred around a large green and is one of the most popular places to stay on the Heritage Coast as it is an ideal base for the beach or for Minsmere, as well as the coastal heaths and forests. There are two good pubs, a restaurant and well-stocked village-store-cum post office all in the village centre. Much of the area around the village is accessible open heath or mixed woodland. Gannon Cottage forms part of a row of typical 19th century Suffolk properties close to the thatched church in the pretty village of Westleton. The cottages are personally supervised by the owner who ensures high standards of housekeeping. If you have any special requirements please ask. This cottage has free Wi-Fi internet access. Stanton is situated close to the Suffolk/Norfolk border and is an ideal base from which to explore both of these lovely counties. The village is home to Wyken Hall Gardens and Vineyard and Stanton Windmill, which dates from 1751 and is still in working order. It is approximately ten miles between the market towns of Diss and Bury St. Edmunds. Places to visit include Euston Hall, Haughley Park or Henry Watson's Potteries at Wattisfield, where you can take home a present of traditional Suffolk terracotta. Accommodation overview: An interesting period property that has been tastefully modernised, yet still retaining all its original character. Eastbridge is well off the beaten track and known as the back way into Minsmere and a favoured location of wildlife enthusiasts and ramblers. The exceptionally unspoilt countryside certainly earns a mention as one of Suffolk's best-kept secrets. Minsmere Visitor Centre is one and a half miles away and the beach is also one and a half miles (on foot). The hamlet is six miles from Aldeburgh and two miles from Leiston. Trains can be found six miles away at Darsham and buses two miles away at Leiston. Willow Farm is an interesting period property, thought to have been built as a farmhouse in the 17th Century. It has many period features, including timber beams, and has been tastefully modernised yet still retaining all its original character.
