Accommodation overview: Walk to the beach and town centre, Cromer is a traditional seaside resort with so much to offer. The Mews is in a quiet part of the town, explore the surrounding countryside and quiet lanes. Take the train to Norwich and enjoy this historic centre. Cromer is a traditional seaside resort with a cliff-top setting and wide sandy beaches running down to the sea. It is famous for its fishing boats that still work off the sea and offer freshly caught seafood. The town has a fine recently refurbished pier, a local history museum, a new lifeboat museum, a golf course, cycle hire, shops and restaurants as well as seafront entertainment, making it ideal for a family holiday. Cromer church tower is the tallest in Norfolk and the more adventurous might like to climb to the top and enjoy the wonderful views. With three bedrooms (one double, one twin and one with bunk beds) and a family bathroom, it can sleep six people. Also within the accommodation is an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Also available on site is a children's play area and an open air heated swimming pool which is available through the summer months. Accommodation overview: The Old Rectory details
The Old Rectory in Norfolk is a luxury self catering holiday home which stands in its own parkland next to the church surrounded by open countryside, a mile from North Tuddenham. The original rectory dated from the 16th century and the poet William Cowper stayed here when he first came to Norfolk. It was replaced in 1852 by Rev Barry, younger brother of the architect of the Houses of Parliament, who designed it himself. The holiday home has been refurbished to provide a luxury self catering venue for family gatherings. It is easily accessed from the A47, half a mile away.
There is a pub in the village of North Tuddenham. Situated in the upspoilt rural centre of Norfolk there is much to see and do as it is ideally located for exploring the coast (35 minutes' drive), the Broads (30 minutes) and the historic city of Norwich (20 minutes). The Old Rectory is set in idyllic surroundings with grounds covering 12.5 acres. There are large areas of lawn interspersed with mature shrubs and trees. The grounds also include a west facing terrace, ideal for summer barbecues, a pond (this has been fenced making it childproof), and a children's football area with two goals. The Old Rectory is an ideal outdoor holiday break with its own wood: a pathway marked by an avenue of yew trees which leads to clearings planted with bluebells, foxgloves and primroses and ideal picnic spots. There is table tennis in the games room and an all weather tennis court in the grounds. There are riding stables nearby.
