Sleeps 6
Weekly price range £443 to £

Self catering accommodation in Fritham sleeps 6.

Features include: • Open Fire or Woodburning Stove • Pub near by • Cottage Sleeps 6

Accommodation overview:

Oak Tree Cottage details

Oak Tree Cottage which has ground floor accommodation is a delightful cottage set in an amazing position right in the middle of the forest and approached by a short narrow track.
Eyeworth is a very pretty hamlet with a beautiful pond about 300 yards from the cottage with wild ducks. The wild ponies are often seen drinking from the side of the pond and the ducks are always looking for a crust of bread to be thrown in for them.

Surrounded by forest in a very quiet position you can walk from the front door in all directions, no roads, just woodland and heath land where ponies graze

The cottage was part of an old gun powder factory dating from 1899. There are wonderful views from all the windows where you will spot wildlife. There is a flat fenced large garden with lawn and flower beds which is safe for children.

About 900 yards away is a local country pub that serves wonderful lunches very day of the week and stocks local beers.

The nearest shop is about 3 miles away. Salisbury, Bournemouth, Lymington (where there are very good shops and a street market on a Saturday) and Southampton are easily accessible. Visit Pepper Pig Word at Romsey only 10 miles away. The nearest sandy beaches are Bournemouth 18 miles and Sandbanks 21 miles. Stonehenge is 24.5 miles away. Brownsea Island is easily reached from Poole Harbour where one can sea red squirrels and peacocks and is 35 miles away.
