The unspoilt Axe estuary is also nearby with its bird and nature reserve. There are many attractions to suit all tastes within half an hour s drive including Abbotsbury Crealy Bicton Park the cathedral city of Exeter and numerous National Trust properties and coastline. It is also an idyllic spot from which to walk and cycle or sit and relax on the decked area and enjoy the spectacular views of the Axe Valley as trains weave their way periodically through the landscape two fields away. The charming village of Kilmington is a 15 minute walk and boasts two local pubs serving food a shop and an outstanding farm shop selling local produce.
