Approached via a quiet narrow country road it s an ideal spot to relax and enjoy what both counties have to offer. The pretty historical market town of Tavistock is a short drive as well as Trethorne Country Park which offers a host of activities for families and children. On those rainy days nearby Milton Abbot is home to The Barn Climbing Wall with a selection of sporting activities. Further afield why not visit The Eden Project a variety of National Trust gardens or the golf course at St Mellion which is 1.5 miles. Bude and Widemouth beaches on the North Cornish coast are a 40 minute drive or visit Polperro & Looe on the South coast all providing a lovely day out. Located within the heart of the countryside yet under 1 mile from an excellent public house and restaurant close enough to enjoy a drink and meal in the evening and stroll back. The nearby village of Milverton has a good shop selling most things. Taunton is within 6 miles and offers an extensive range of shops restaurants and leisure facilities. The cottage lies in the vale between the Quantock and Blackdown Hills both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty with excellent walking cycling and horse riding potential. It is also centrally located for visiting both coastlines. To the north you will find Minehead and Weston-Super-Mare and to the south the popular towns of Seaton Lyme Regis and Exmouth. If you fancy a day out then there is much to see and do around the area such as a visit to one of the many National Trust properties and gardens nearby Oake Manor Golf Club The West Somerset Steam Railway Somerset County Cricket ground and Taunton Racecourse are all close by. Approached via a private driveway and nestling in a fantastic spot with views over the neighbouring meadow and woodland the cottage offers a relaxing retreat. Guests will enjoy watching the horses that are kept close by and often in the adjacent meadow. A foot/bridle path runs direct from the cottage driveway offering a chance to explore the surrounding countryside and see various wildlife along the way. Access to the local tramway which is ideal for cycling is close by. From the tramline you can access the sandy beach at Portreath or take the opposite direction to meet the coast at Devoran (cycle hire can be arranged with the owners). The sandy bays of Portreath and Porthtowan are approximately 2 miles away with village shops the local pub is approximately 1 mile and a Chinese restaurant can also be found within 1 mile. This north coastal area offers excellent surfing and attractions to suit all ages including The Cornish Cider Farm Newquay Zoo and Aquarium Flambards Theme Park and a short drive to the Lizard and Lands End peninsulas. Willow Cottage is one of five cottages set in a courtyard on the edge of the village of Goonhavern near to Perranporth in North Cornwall. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms (two doubles, one with an ensuite and one twin room) as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside the cottage is off road parking for three cars and shared use of a front lawned area with a barbecue and a children’s playground. With its neighbouring cottages, Willow Cottage can sleep a total of thirty people and provide a wonderful base for visiting this part of Cornwall.

Accommodation overview: About 5 miles from the lovely sandy beaches of the Camel Estuary and the fishing village of Port Isaac, this attractive end of terrace 18th century cottage, recently renovated is set in the peaceful unspoilt village of Chapel Amble.
Fronted by a small village green, the cottage is entered through its own walled and gated patio area with seating and a path that leads to the covered porch way. From here the front door opens directly into a pleasantly light living room with a slate floor, a dining suite next to a bow window overlooking the patio and comfortable seating arranged before the feature stone fireplace.
Leading off to one side there are four steps that lead into a new kitchen. At the rear of the living room a door leads into a utility room with laundry facilities and W.C. and hand basin, and access to the rear courtyard where half a dozen steps lead up to a raised terrace providing a sitting out area; small children require supervision.
Rather steep carpeted stairs lead up from the dining area to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and two pretty cottage style bedrooms. There is a master double bedroom with pine furniture and a smaller twin bedded room, both looking out over the village green.
There is off road parking for two cars directly outside the cottage and the pub and village store/post office are 50 yards away. The surfing beach of Polzeath and the sailing centre of Rock where there is a foot ferry to Padstow are within a ten minute drive, and there is horse riding and an 18 hole golf course available close by. Wadebridge, 3 miles, has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and there is also a sports centre and bike hire to explore the Camel Trail.
