Miller's Loft is an idyllic romantic retreat for two, offering stunning views of unspoilt North Norfolk countryside with frequent sightings of the resident barn owl and deer. The Loft is situated on the Weavers Way footpath and is an ideal location for simply relaxing, walking, cycling and exploring the North Norfolk countryside and coast.

The nearby market town of Aylsham (2.5 miles) has a weekly Friday morning W.I. market with fresh local produce available as well as a twice monthly Saturday morning farmers market. The picturesque Georgian towns of Holt and Burnham Market offer good eateries and eclectic shops, whilst Wells, Holkham, Sheringham and Cromer offer fantastic beaches, with riding and golf close by too.

Nearby are several magnificent NT properties, including Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall (1.5 miles). Wolterton and Mannington Halls are close by offering walks and tea shops, whilst the acclaimed East Ruston Vicarage Gardens are a short drive away. The Broads and Cley, with renowned bird sanctuaries, are both within easy reach by car.

Miller's Loft is well served by good places to eat and drink: The Erpingham Arms with its real ale is within walking distance; the acclaimed Saracens Head is close by and the award-winning Gunton Arms a short drive away.

Accommodation overview: Erpingham is a super village with a great pub, close to the coast for Cromer and Sheringham. The Broads are on your doorstep and Swallow Barn is a great place to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the beautiful countryside.

Erpingham is a peaceful rural village set between the seaside resort of Cromer and the traditional market town of Aylsham with its good selection of shops and pubs. The National Trust property, Blickling Hall, is nearby and well worth a visit. It is perfect for a relaxing break but also a good base for exploring the many attractions of Norfolk including the North Norfolk Coast, the Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich. A network of small lanes lead to some delightful discoveries for walkers and cyclists. There is a swimming pool available for hire within one mile and riding stables on the common. Alby Crafts is a very good craft centre just outside the village.

Swallow Barn is a spacious single storey property attached to the owners' home and surrounded by peaceful countryside. This is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists with plenty of quiet lanes and tracks. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area and barn owls are often seen quartering nearby Thwaite Common.
