Accommodation overview: Traditional "roses round the door" cottage with pleasant beamed interior. Little and Great Walsingham lie only a mile apart by the River Stiffkey. Their names are confusing as Little Walsingham is the larger of the two villages and has been a centre of pilgrimage since the 11th century with both Catholic and Anglican shrines. Nearby Great Walsingham is set in the countryside, providing both excellent walking and cycling. The sandy beach at Wells is approximately five miles away. Great Walsingham has a complex of barns which house an arts/craft centre, antiques and the excellent Barn Cafe, whilst Little Walsingham has a number of shops, including an award-winning farm shop as well as pubs/restaurants. This cottage is one of a pretty row of 17th century dwellings at the top of The Green at Great Walsingham with lovely views through the village. It is a real roses-round-the-door cottage with a pretty garden and beamed interior. The sitting room and main bedroom run across the front of the house giving a spacious feel to the cottage.
