Just a 2 mile drive leads you to the outskirts of the popular and picturesque villages of Newlyn and Mousehole that are musts for guests visiting this area. For those who can t resist civilisation Penzance offers a wealth of activities to amuse young and old alike from the Jubilee swimming pool along the picture postcard promenade to the multi-screen cinema Laser Quest and wealth of shops pubs and restaurants. The village fishing heritage dates back to 1266 and the tightly knitted streets and lanes are full of local Lamorna granite built cottages. Mousehole was also believed to have been the home of the last person to speak only Cornish and her house is marked with a plaque. Perfect for a stroll to a host of pubs and restaurants or use the property as a base for touring Cornwall with beaches and sheltered coves some fantastic walking as well as attractions which include Lands End Flambards Theme Park numerous National Trust properties and Gardens and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno. The accommodation is arranged over three floors and offers ONE bedroom: double with en-suite shower room WC and views over the roof tops to the sea beyond. Separate WC off the lounge. Accommodation overview: An attractive mid-terrace granite cottage set high above the pretty fishing village of Mousehole, with panoramic views across Mounts Bay and only a short walk downhill to the small harbour and beach.
Entered from a rather steep pedestrian lane, a couple of steps lead up to the front porch and an inner door opens directly into a comfortably furnished sitting room with a board and beam ceiling, a light crisp decor and sea views over the village roof tops looking across to the Lizard. Two steps at the rear of the sitting room lead up to a dining area which has the benefit of views through a hatchway in the wall, and a neatly fitted kitchen with a stable door opening to a small service yard.
Carpeted stairs go up to a tiny landing which has doors to a pine furnished double bedroom with stunning views over the garden looking down to the harbour and far out to sea and to a bathroom W.C. with wash basin and electric shower over the bath. To complete the accommodation, a door leads off the bathroom to a second bedroom with sturdy bunk beds which are 5ft 9inch in length and windows overlooking the wooded hillside at the rear.
On the opposite side of the footpath, at the front of the cottage, half a dozen gated steps lead down to a delightful sheltered garden with a patio and sundeck, a small decorative pond and a sloping lawn with partial sea views.
Although the cottage is set away from the busy harbour front, all the village amenities are still within easy walking distance as is the coastal footpath with lovely scenery leading round to Lamorna Valley. Penzance, 3 miles, has a rail and bus terminus and offers trips by boat to the Isles of Scilly. The safe beaches of Mounts Bay are a 10 minute drive.

Accommodation overview: Set in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole in a delightful cluster of cottages hugging the harbour on the western shore of Mounts Bay, this comfortable attractive accommodation comprises the entire ground floor of a spacious yet traditional terraced fishermans cottage in a quiet lane just around the corner from the harbour and waters edge.
Entered by a glazed front door into a light central hallway, a door on one side opens to a pretty double bedroom with 5 ft kingsize bed and painted natural stone walls. On the opposite side 3 steps lead up to a bright shower room W.C. with hand basin.
At the far end of the hall, a couple of steps lead up to an attractive open plan large living area, with casual comfy seating amidst a nautical themed decor, and a small fitted kitchen/diner.
From the kitchen a rear door and a few steps lead down to a wonderful little sun terrace with lovely clear views of the harbour and sea, through a gated alleyway between the cottages providing a handy short cut to the harbour front.
It is possible to unload outside the property but parking is in the car park 25 yards away. All of the local village stores and shops are 2 minutes walk, Penzance with a wider range of amenities and a mainline railway station is 3 miles, as are the sandy beaches of Long Rock and Marazion.
