One of two properties at Creathorne Farm, The Old Byre sits alongside the The Granary with accommodation for seven guests. For larger parties there is an internal door that can be opened up to enable two families to holiday together but have privacy should it be needed.
Both cottages are beautifully restored 19th century Cornish stone barns and form two sides of a charming courtyard which was the original farmyard at Creathorne, and were used as a Mill and adjoining cattle housing. They have now have been transformed into stunning holiday cottages, sympathetically restored to capture the charm and character of the original buildings, yet furnished and decorated to offer superb luxury with everything you need for a fantastic holiday in this stunning area of North Cornwall.
Located on the Devon border, just three miles from Bude the area has much to offer from beautiful sandy beaches to picturesque villages such as Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Padstow and Clovelly. Bude the main shopping centre offers a variety of pubs and restaurants suitable to everyone's budget. There is a huge range of watersport activities along with horse riding, fishing and cycling to name but a few. Heading back into Devon give more of an extensive range of activities such as day trips to Lundy Island or sailing from Bideford.
Widemouth Bay would be the closest beach being 1-mile from the house and offers a wonderful surfing school operating from the beach with all equipment available to hire from the surf shop. The opportunities are endless, there is so much to do within a half hours' drive.

Bordered by a stream and within walking distance to Millook shingle beach, it is an ideal venue for families, friends or couples. Snugly situated in an unspoilt sheltered valley, Mill Farm is surrounded by ten acres of its own land including a large country garden with open views across the valley. This quintessential Cornish Cottage Longhouse offers spacious holiday home accommodation and the opportunity for children of all ages to explore and enjoy the gardens, woods, fields and the stream bordering the property. It is a short stroll to the small shingle beach of Millook, which has dramatic rock formations and rock pools to explore. The surrounding area is one of outstanding natural beauty with the South West coastal path running very close to the grounds. Widemouth Bay with its sandy beaches and access to all manner of water sports is only two and a half miles away. Situated on this dramatic coastline, the approach road to Mill Farm is steep and winding, but well worth the journey when you finally see the beautiful setting. In either direction there are interesting coastal towns and villages to explore. This comfortable self-catering home from home has a welcoming dining room with large wood burning stove and complemented by oak dining furniture and a pretty window seat, with views across the garden to the valley beyond. Original beams and doors add to the authentic atmosphere. Following an extensive renovation programme in 2012, the accommodation now offers a spacious new kitchen and two newly built bathrooms. Both bathrooms have bath and shower cubicles with a power shower. From the dining room you enter the newly renovated kitchen with its integrated appliances. This leads into a large and delightful living room, housing a further fireplace, with comfortable seating for all, overlooking the garden, where rambling roses frame the windows and the doorways. There is also a smaller snug sitting room, for those wishing to quietly relax. A rear entrance to the property has direct access to a newly built utility area and shower room with further power shower, perfect for use after surfing. There are two staircases leading to two separate landings. The five bedrooms can easily accommodate eight visitors. The bedrooms are all built into the eaves, have original fixtures such as uneven doors and casement windows affording beautiful country views, encompassing the gardens and wooded valley to the sea. Mill Farm is ideally placed for a holiday in North Cornwall and for exploring all that this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer .
