Accommodation overview: This property has bags of character and is in a great location for the Coast and Broads. Rural setting and a village with some good amenities which include an award-winning fish and chip shop. Roughton provides an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside of North Norfolk. The seaside town of Cromer is only two miles away and has a lovely sandy beach, pier with its own theatre and traditional seafront entertainment. The area is rich in history and heritage with many museums and fine houses including Felbrigg Hall, which is only one mile away. There are lovely walks to be found close by, ranging from National Trust parkland to cliff-top walks as well as along country lanes and footpaths. The village has a shop and pub, which serves meals, with further amenities available in Cromer. The cottage is a charming 400 year old brick and flint constructed barn and former Dairy of the Flaxmans Farm complex and was once part of the Felbrigg Estate. Flaxmans is surrounded by tree-lined rolling hills. Dairy Cottage has been cleverly converted and is very original with its vaulted ceiling and wooden screen wall.
