The owners have carefully renovated and beautifully furnished the cottage to a good standard with many tasteful finishing touches to provide a truly relaxing all-year-round getaway ideally located for touring and exploring the whole of North Devon. The immediate area offers superb walking country and Exmoor with its wonderful scenery and walks is close by. Walking and cycling on the Tarka Trail is within easy reach at Barnstaple which also offers an array of leisure facilities and a huge selection of pubs restaurants and shops and is only a 15 minute drive. Here you will be ideally based for all that the Westcountry has to offer from the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor to breathtaking beaches and coastlines including Westward Ho! Croyde Saunton and Woolacombe all within a 30 minute drive. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with attractive Victorian bed and 1 twin with a 3 single and a 2 6 single. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: with TV DVD hi-fi and cast iron coal effect gas stove for those cooler out-of-season evenings. Dining room: separate. Kitchen: with gas hob electric oven fridge with ice box microwave and washing machine. Set in an elevated position the property benefits from wonderful countryside and distant sea views across the valley. Deer and stags can often be seen in the fields below the property and the Tarka Trail popular with walkers and cyclists is within a 10 minute downhill walk. Surrounding the property is superb walking country and Exmoor with its wonderful scenery riding and walks is close by. A short drive from the village of Swimbridge located in the heart of North Devon countryside south east of the ancient port of Barnstaple and within easy reach of the North Devon coast. The 2 miles of golden sandy beach at Westward Ho! is a 20 minute drive or enjoy the sand dunes at Instow with its lovely seafront restaurants and pubs or simply relax and unwind on the private balcony and take in the far reaching countryside and distant sea views. The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: master bedroom with king-size bed flatscreen TV private balcony and en-suite bathroom with separate shower WC and heated towel rail.
